Sirius XM Radio announced that it will offer baseball fans comprehensive coverage of 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Week in Phoenix, AZ, July 9-12.
SiriusXM will carry the 82nd All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 12 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), and the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday, July 11 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), live from Chase Field on XM channel 176. Read more
SiriusXM to Broadcast 2011 Triple Crown Nationwide
Live broadcasts of Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes will be available to satellite radio subscribers from coast to coast
Sirius XM Radio and Horse Racing Radio Network announced an agreement to broadcast all three races of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown nationwide.
Both Sirius and XM radio listeners will hear HRRN’s broadcast of the 137th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7, the 136th Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 21, and the 143rd Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 11. All three race broadcasts will air live starting at 5:00 pm ET.
The broadcasts of all three Triple Crown races will also be available to listeners on SiriusXM Internet Radio and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for the Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and several BlackBerry and Android-powered smartphones.
“The Triple Crown represents three of the most anticipated events on the sports calendar and we’re very pleased to deliver every second from all three races to our subscribers,” said Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s Senior Vice President of Sports Programming. ”On race day, we’ll bring SiriusXM listeners so close to the action they’ll feel like they are standing at the rail.”

The Horse Racing Radio Network is the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization, providing live radio coverage of many of the sport’s biggest races. In addition to the Triple Crown events, SiriusXM will carry HRRN’s coverage of a select number of stakes races throughout the year, including the 137th Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 6, starting at 3:00 pm ET.
Steve Phillips Joins SIRIUS XM’s All-Sports Mad Dog Radio Channel

SIRIUS XM Radio announced that former New York Mets general manager Steve Phillips has joined the cast of Mad Dog Radio, SIRIUS XM’s national all-sports talk channel headlined by Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo, as co-host of a new morning show.
Starting Monday, October 4, Phillips will join Gary Williams to co-host Gary and Phillips in the Morning every weekday (6:00 – 10:00 am ET) exclusively on Mad Dog Radio, SIRIUS channel 123 and XM channel 144. Phillips and Williams will start the daily sports conversation, discussing the biggest stories of the day with listeners around the country, covering the spectrum of sports from college to the pros, and interviewing newsmakers and personalities from the sports world and beyond.
Phillips will also continue to host the SIRIUS XM Fantasy Baseball show on SIRIUS XM Fantasy Sports Radio, the 24/7 fantasy sports channel that launched on SIRIUS XM in July. Read more

SIRIUS XM Radio announcedthat as part of its SIRIUS XM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft it will host an all-day showcase event featuring live music and a series of special broadcasts from a wide variety of SIRIUS XM hosts at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City’s Times Square on July 21, 2010.
The event will celebrate the launch of SIRIUS XM Fantasy Sports Radio, the new 24/7 fantasy sports channel airing on XM channel 147 and SIRIUS channel 211 for subscribers with the “Best of XM” programming package. SIRIUS XM Radio to Carry Live Broadcast Coverage of U.S. Open Golf Championship
ESPN’s hole-by-hole coverage airs June 17-20 from Pebble Beach Listeners nationwide will have access to live on-course play-by-play on ESPN Radio, SIRIUS channel 120 and XM channel 140
SIRIUS XM Radio announced that it will offer ESPN Radio’s live play-by-play coverage of the U.S. Open Golf Championship, running Thursday, June 17, through Sunday, June 20, at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, on SIRIUS channel 120 and XM channel 140.
The U.S. Open Championship is considered by many to be the most difficult and complete test in golf with its length and high rough putting a premium on both distance and accuracy. Pebble Beach has hosted the U.S. Open four previous times, most recently in 2000, when it was won in remarkable fashion by Tiger Woods who finished at 12 under par and an incredible 15 shots better than the runners up.
