SIRIUS XM Radio announcedthat as part of its SIRIUS XM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft it will host an all-day showcase event featuring live music and a series of special broadcasts from a wide variety of SIRIUS XM hosts at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City’s Times Square on July 21, 2010.

The event will celebrate the launch of SIRIUS XM Fantasy Sports Radio, the new 24/7 fantasy sports channel airing on XM channel 147 and SIRIUS channel 211 for subscribers with the “Best of XM” programming package. SIRIUS XM subscribers will be invited to attend or tune in from around the country and will be treated to a variety of programming from across the SIRIUS XM spectrum.

SIRIUS XM Radio to Carry Live Broadcast Coverage of U.S. Open Golf Championship

ESPN’s hole-by-hole coverage airs June 17-20 from Pebble Beach Listeners nationwide will have access to live on-course play-by-play on ESPN Radio, SIRIUS channel 120 and XM channel 140

SIRIUS XM Radio announced that it will offer ESPN Radio’s live play-by-play coverage of the U.S. Open Golf Championship, running Thursday, June 17, through Sunday, June 20, at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, on SIRIUS channel 120 and XM channel 140.

The U.S. Open Championship is considered by many to be the most difficult and complete test in golf with its length and high rough putting a premium on both distance and accuracy. Pebble Beach has hosted the U.S. Open four previous times, most recently in 2000, when it was won in remarkable fashion by Tiger Woods who finished at 12 under par and an incredible 15 shots better than the runners up.

Legendary Indianapolis 500 Race to Air Live on SIRIUS XM Radio

XM subscribers and SIRIUS subscribers with the ‘Best of XM’ will hear live broadcast of ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,’ plus extensive pre- and post-race programming

SIRIUS XM Radio, the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the Indy Racing League, the sanctioning body for the IZOD IndyCar® Series and Firestone Indy Lights, announced today that it will offer comprehensive coverage of the world-renowned Indianapolis 500.

SIRIUS XM listeners will have access to “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” live from Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 30 on XM channel 145 and SIRIUS channel 211 (part of the “Best of XM”). Motorsports fans will hear pre-race programming, including expert commentary and analysis, interviews with drivers and live coverage of driver introductions. 2010 FIFA World Cup LIVE: SIRIUS XM to broadcast all 64 matches

SIRIUS XM will broadcast every match in its entirety International soccer legend Giorgio Chinaglia will offer exclusive analysis on “The Football Show” throughout the tournament.

SIRIUS XM Radio will broadcast all 64 matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup live from South Africa from June 11 through July 11.

English language broadcasts of every World Cup match, produced by ESPN Radio, will be available nationwide on SIRIUS XM. When multiple matches are played simultaneously, additional SIRIUS XM channels will be devoted to play-by-play, allowing listeners to hear every match in its entirety.

SIRIUS XM listeners will hear ESPN broadcasters JP Dellacamera and Tommy Smyth. Dellacamera has called the last six FIFA World Cups for a variety of television networks as well as the past two Summer Olympic Games. Smyth has called more than 2,500 international matches from leagues all over the world and has worked three FIFA World Cups.

In addition to live play-by-play of every match, SIRIUS XM will offer exclusive analysis throughout the tournament from international soccer legend Giorgio Chinaglia and Charlie Stillitano, who will host special World Cup editions of their SIRIUS XM program, The Football Show. Chinaglia, one of the game’s most prolific goal-scorers, played for Italy in the 1974 FIFA World Cup and earned international renown as a striker for the Italian club Lazio and the New York Cosmos. SIRIUS XM will offer live play-by-play from Augusta and daily analysis leading up to and throughout Masters Week

SIRIUS XM Radio announced that it will offer live hole-by-hole coverage of the 2010 Masters Tournament from Thursday, April 8, through Sunday, April 11, nationwide on XM channel 146 and on SIRIUS channel 209 with the “Best of XM” programming package.

SIRIUS XM listeners will get extensive coverage with live play-by-play from Augusta National, plus expert analysis leading up to and throughout the event.

Live broadcasts from Augusta will begin at 12:00 pm ET Thursday through Sunday of Masters Week with The Masters Today, a daily preview show that will lead into each day’s on-course play-by-play. The live hole-by-hole coverage will air from 2:00 pm ET through the end of each day’s play giving fans live reports from around the course and access to golfers on and off the leader board. On-course coverage will be immediately followed by a nightly wrap-up show, Masters Replay, that will include a recap of the day’s action with highlights, analysis and interviews with players.
