NBA Player Close to Finalizing Terms to Play in Premier Basketball League
With the intense climate around the impending NBA lock-out this upcoming season, one independent league in America has risen to the top on NBA player recruitment.
The Chicago based Premier Basketball League is close to finalizing its first contract with a current NBA player and his representatives. Although the details for the first contract have not been made public yet during the negotiations phase, the PBL’s leadership is already in talks with other agents for several key players of the NBA. The contracts come on the heels of a successful “Locked-Out Draft” held by the PBL earlier this summer.

For the first time, gamers will be able to take control of some of the most iconic players in NBA history, such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Julius Irving, and pit them against other classic and modern-day teams to create NBA dream matchups.
Each of these 15 basketball legends has been meticulously recreated with an uncanny level of detail, including period-specific depictions of their arenas, team uniforms, signature moves, and even historically accurate broadcast presentation styles in NBA 2K12. - Location – Before you buy, make sure you have ample space to play. A large, flat, paved surface like a driveway is ideal. Keep in mind it is unsafe (and often illegal) to place a basketball hoop on a street or sidewalk.
- Portable or In-Ground – A portable basketball hoop has a large plastic base with wheels that provides the flexibility of rolling it to a different area, or even taking it with you if you move. In-ground systems take up less ground space but require cement installation and are permanent. However, they tend to be more rigid and offer slightly more stability for aggressive players. Read more
2011 National Truck Driving Championship and National Step Van Driving Championship Finalists
The finalists for the 2011 National Truck Driving Championships were announced early this morning after a three day competition that tested drivers’ knowledge of safety, equipment, the industry and driving skills. Considered the “Super Bowl of Safety,” the competition is in the midst of a drive-off. 483 competitors traveled to Orlando to represent their home states.
The top five drivers in each of the nine competing categories will now run a specially designed obstacle course that will be unveiled this morning to determine the top driver. At the end of the day, the best driver from all nine categories will be named, with one driver named the 2011 Bendix National Truck Driving Championships Grand Champion Award.
